Excuses, Pasta, Updates, and TobyMac

Wow guys, it's been almost a month since I've blogged. I have an excuse though: I've been busy! Between birthday parties and working and Jesus Camp, I've been very MIA. But, I am excited to announce that I started my YouTube channel up again (egirl371) and I'm a beauty guru sort of person, along with a vlogger, so please go check it out!!! I'll be starting my Back To School series soon, so be prepared. Oh well...what can I say? Oh yeah, my Tumblr and Twitter are reopened again, so go check those out. So, I'm sorry this is a short post, but I'll write more later! Onto the usuals...

AP Literature, Scholarship Competitions, Plans, and Reeses

Hallo my beautiful blog readers. As you may know, I just competed in the Miss Vermont Outstanding Teen scholarship competition, that was basically like a beauty pageant, but with more purpose. It was a lot of fun, and it left me with a lot of new friends and memories. Some of the most memorable ones were waking up at 5:30AM with my friends Emily and Julie to get ready for interview, a disaster known as opening number, dinner at Caroline's (Miss Vermont's Outstanding Teen 2012), and all of the crazy and amazing friends on this journey. I want to do it again, but my parents are against it, and I didn't place so I was kind of bitter towards it. Who knows what this year will bring? Oh, and I also met Ericka Dunlap, Miss America 2004, and there was too much sass between ErickaSquared during the Ericka takeover. And while I was gone, I got my letter with my list of AP books I need to read, which means I'm officially in for it. Other than that, this summer is mine, and I'm taking dance classes, going to concerts, and going to Camp Sonlight as well. Alrighty, onto the usuals.

Heyo!!! It's summertime!!! Which means that it's time to start crossing things off my bucket list. I have between 50-60 things I want to do before the leaves change colors and school comes to haunt me once again. It's so invigorating to think that for once, my summer will be fun and eventful. If only it were July 11th so I could get my license...in other news, I started reading The Casual Vacancy by J.K. Rowling, and I LOVE it! I've barely dented it, but it's very intriguing thus far. Also, we got a kitten!!! Her name is Ginevra Marlo, Ginny for short. We named her after Ginny Weasley, because me and my sister both have a BAD obsession with Harry Potter, and Marlo, because Hilary really wanted to name her Marlo, but I wasn't letting that happen. She's an adorable tabby tiger cat and I love her (although, I have a slight fear cats and claws near my legs and feet because of something that happened as a child).

A Year In Review, Dyscalculia, Mariana and The Diamonds, and More Green Eyed Chaos

Well...it's been a while since we've had a chat, haven't we? We left off right before my 15th birthday, respectively. Well, I'm going to fill you in on what you've missed:

• I went to NYC and saw Spiderman: Turn Out The Dark with my HS music department
• I turned 15
• I was in marching band holding the banner
• My Freshman year ended
• I went to the Dominican Republic on a missions trip
• I sat around the house or went to the pool or hung out with my friends all summer
• I went to Camp Sonlight and hung out with my girls who I only get to see 1-2 a year
• I started Sophomore year off on the right foot
• I was a sassy Seamstress in White Christmas at my school
• I started cheerleading again
• I was diagnosed with Dyscalculia (math dyslexia, a learning disorder)
• My year started going downhill and only got worse
• I joined the lacrosse team as defense/goalie
• I went to Williamsburg with my HS music department and we all got gold!
• I marched in band again...but instead, I was twirling a flag as Flag Squad Captain
• I made a very unexpected discovery
• I got my first job...then had a mutual agreement to end it because it REALLY wasn't working out
• I had a dance recital
• My hell finally finished as school got out yesterday...thank goodness

So you haven't missed too much I don't think...just an entire year :)

Birthday Parties, Clusterfucks, Integrated II, and The Hunger Games

Well, the title says it all. This week was a complete clusterfuck. I had softball after school for two hours everyday, I had two MAJOR assignments due, my nieces and sister moved in, and my sister who was in England came back for a few weeks. So let's see, in Integrated II, I have an 80 and I think I'm gonna fail the class (anything below a 80 is failing for me), because the teacher is no help. He told my mom "Have Ericka review her old tests so she can nail quad formulas", but he doesn't hand anything back until after chapter tests. FAIL! But Friday was fun. It was friend Noah's birthday, so we went and hung out at his mom's for an hour, then we had to go to the school to pick up Evan (who still hates me). We jumped out of the car right as the softball team walked by. They were like "Ericka?" and we all jumped back in and sped off in our car which "District 12" written all over it. We then saw The Hunger Games and it was AMAZING! Of course, there were a few things off, but that's expected. And then we went back to Noah's mom's house and had cake. Then we picked up Tyler to come hang for the night. And we got to Noah's dad's house, where there was MORE cake. So then we went downstairs and played Halo and Rockband until 3am. After that, we played "Questions" (long story) and went to bed around 4:30am. The next day was Kaylee's birthday so we had a small fam party. And next Sunday is my bday and my mom made plans for me. I am officially scared. Onto the usuals!

Happy Wheels, Softball, Nightmares, and Olly Murs

Hello.....
I know, I know, I'm not posting frequently. Well, let me tell you it's been a hard past 3 weeks. I've been having a bit of a rough time. Which is why I have made the consecutive decision to keep my gaming stories under wraps, at least until I feel better. I was almost all the way feeling hunky-dory, then I had a nightmare (I know, I'm 14, I shouldn't be having nightmares, etc.) that made me plummet into awful feelings all over again.

You probably want to hear my nightmare right? Okay, well that is something I can share with you. So, all the nerds and I were camping under the stars. My dream self woke up and looked to my left. Ryan was laying there motionless, in a pool of blood that was his. I screamed for help and grabbed him to see if he was alive in any way. I looked down the row to see if anyone else was hurt and Tyler was the same way. I started screaming and bawling for help. The paramedics declared them dead on the scene and I started having a panic attack. It then flashed to my laptop screen and I clicked on my Yahoo inbox. I had an unread email from Ryan that read: "I know, A ghost emailing you, bizarre I suppose. I can tell you that Tyler and I love it here  in heaven, but would much rather be on Earth with the rest of you guys. It was awful that I was murdered, I mean, because I had a great life and it was going to get better. But I have a big question: why would you kill two people you loved? I hope the police don't actually think it was you, because I have a feeling it wasn't you.  I love you, forever and always-Ryan" Now, you may be saying, "Why would the cops think it was you?". Well, it was because I was the first one awake. Let me just say, when I woke up from this dream, I cried for a long time...anywho, time for usuals!

Teenager Post, Gmail, Silly Things, and Mistakes

Hello there...............

So, I know I haven't posted since February (then again, it's only March 3rd), but none the less. If these posts seem a bit spacy, it's because I'm going through yet ANOTHER rough patch. I'm not going to go into detail about it, since I want to keep it private. So thanks for your patience while I fix my mistakes.

Now, since I got you feeling sad and depressed, I'm going to make you happy with some more reasons why my school is crazy. In my math class, my teacher (Mr. Story...different than the other guy) is so passive aggressive, that if you tell him you have to go to the bathroom and he says no, you can just get up and leave and he doesn't care!
 In Bio, me and my friend Rachel were working on out Ecology worksheet and as I looked over the vocab words we had to match with the diagram of a food chain, I decided to be my bubbly self and say "So...grass is an herbivore right?", which caused us to laugh for hours.
And in my next class, World Lit and Comp, we are constantly goofing off, and we always play Wink Assassin. Let me just say, the assassin's have impeccable timing. One time, a kid died in the middle of the hallway during the switching of classes. Then, he got up and skipped away...and another time the same kid was handing in a test and died onto our teacher's feet. Made my life!
And finally, in World Cultures, we watched clips from Mulan to learn about East Asia. That, and Grace is constantly sprawling out all over my desk and me at the worst times! Also in World Cultures, our teacher is constantly cracking jokes about whatever we are studying, and whenever we meditate, I fall asleep! And then I wake up to tickle torture, courtesy of Grace. Time for usuals!
